ANBU's Naruto history has a documented joint phase with AnimeOne and a documented post-split phase. ANBU's own 2004-08-14 post says it terminated the AnimeOne joint and would continue Naruto itself. In its FAQ, ANBU cited staff turnover, production coordination problems, inconsistent turnaround, licensing-policy concerns and the degree to which fans had begun treating ANBU and AonE as one group. Those are ANBU's contemporaneous claims, not a neutral ruling on the private dispute. ANBU's surviving official Naruto release guide ends at episode 119; later database attributions extend ANBU and/or ANBU&AonE to 121, so 120–121 remain an endpoint proof question rather than a settled own-site fact.
