Formed specifically to translate the second half of the Ranma 1/2 manga, the chapters Viz had not yet released in English. Viz's official release had slowed to a crawl, still using the old comic-book pamphlet format as late as 2003, and The New Ranma Project completed the entire back half of the series in a single year, faster than the official publisher managed.
