VKLL (Valirianus Lam)

The online identity of Valirianus Lam, a Canadian fansubber working alone from the mid-1990s onward. VKLL picked up where DiC's original 65-episode English dub stopped, covering Sailor Moon R through Stars, all three movies, and the SuperS special. He stopped distributing tapes for seasons once Cloverway licensed and dubbed them, but kept releasing Stars specifically since it stayed unlicensed, continuing until early 2006. Widely regarded as the most recognized Sailor Moon fansubber of the era, though not without real controversy: he charged money for his tapes, a practice that put him at odds with the scene's usual non-commercial norms even while he was genuinely respecting licensing boundaries.
