WEB JUKEBOX — README (plain text)
==================================

WHAT IS THIS?
-------------

A classic 2000s-style folder jukebox for plain PHP sites: list tracks
from a directory, play/pause, next/previous, volume, and a clickable
playlist. Procedural PHP and vanilla JavaScript — no frameworks, no
separate API file, no database required.

QUICK START
-----------

  1. Drop MP3/OGG files in music/
  2. Upload the jukebox folder to your host
  3. Set $jukebox_url_path in config.php
  4. Add to any page: <?php include("jukebox/jukebox.php"); ?>

See install.txt for hosting and local demo steps.

FILES
-----

jukebox.php Main include — outputs the widget (use this on your pages)
  index.php Optional standalone demo page
config.php Paths and behavior (edit for your site)
lib/tracks.php Scans the music folder (do not need to edit)
  assets/css/ Skins and layout
  assets/js/ Player controls
music/ Your audio files go here
  install.txt Beginner setup guide
  readme.txt This file

CONFIG.PHP OPTIONS
------------------

$jukebox_url_path Web path to this folder (e.g. "/jukebox")
$jukebox_music_dir Subfolder name for audio (default "music")
$jukebox_default_theme Starting skin if visitor has no saved choice
$jukebox_title Label in the widget title bar
$jukebox_show_theme_picker true/false — skin buttons under the widget
$jukebox_autoplay true/false — may be blocked by browsers
$jukebox_allowed_extensions Array of extensions, default mp3 and ogg

SKINS (THEMES)
--------------

  anime-history AnimeHistory.org archive look (default)
  classic-winamp Green LCD / Winamp-style
dark-terminal Amber on black terminal look
  geocities-neon Bright retro web colors
  modern-minimal Light, clean embed

Visitors can switch skins; the choice is saved in the browser (localStorage).

PLAYLIST BEHAVIOR
-----------------

  * All supported files in music/ appear sorted by title.
  * Click a track in the list to play it.
  * Next / Previous walk the list; Previous restarts the current track
if you are more than 3 seconds in.
  * When a track ends, the next one plays automatically.

INTEGRATION TIPS
----------------

  * The widget is narrow (~380px) so it fits sidebars and forum posts.
  * CSS and JS load once per page even if you include jukebox.php once.
  * Credits appear in the widget footer automatically.
