SHIZURU KUWABARA

Kazuma Kuwabara's older sister is calmer, sharper and somehow even harder to intimidate than her brother. Shizuru possesses powerful spiritual awareness of her own and can sense supernatural danger long before most ordinary humans realize anything is wrong. She responds to demons, tournaments and collapsing stadiums with the exhausted attitude of someone who expected life around Kazuma to become ridiculous sooner or later. Her deadpan confidence makes her a fan favorite despite comparatively little screen time, and she frequently becomes part of the human-side support group with Keiko and Botan. Shizuru understands her brother better than he thinks she does. She mocks him relentlessly, but whenever Kuwabara is in real danger the humor gives way to the fierce protectiveness of an older sister who has always known exactly how good-hearted he is.
