MASTER ROSHI

Master Roshi
MR

Dragon Ball Z · The Turtle Hermit

The originator of the iconic Kamehameha wave and the martial arts master who started it all. Even though the power scaling of the Z era quickly left him hanging out at Kame House watching workout tapes, Roshi's teachings are the foundation of everything Goku and Krillin achieved. He's the legendary, deeply flawed sensei who passed the torch to the next generation of Earth's defenders.

King Piccolo Saga

After Kami restores Shenron, Earth's Dragon Balls can finally be used to repair the human cost of King Piccolo's return. The people killed by King Piccolo and his forces are brought back.

That includes Krillin, Roshi and Chiaotzu, restoring the group after the darkest stretch of the original series.
Why it matters
This is the first time Dragon Ball has to repair not just one death but a whole campaign of them. The Dragon Balls have become part of how the story recovers from large-scale catastrophe.

Kamehameha

Master Roshi · Energy Wave Open →
The gold standard of ki manipulation. The practitioner draws latent bodily energy into a tightly compressed sphere between cupped palms before thrusting the hands forward in a surging vector. Roshi spent half a century perfecting its output; Goku's raw kinetic genius let him replicate the wave after a single look.

Famous variants: Feet-Fired Kamehameha - mid-air downward booster at the 23rd World Tournament so the hands stay free. Instant Transmission Kamehameha - charge at range, teleport point-blank into the target's face.

Master Roshi / Z-Fighters · Kinetic Speed Silhouette Open →
A high-speed evasion maneuver where the fighter moves so fast they leave behind a optical ghost image of themselves. Foes waste powerful strikes on empty air while the caster repositions behind them.
