SONOMI DAIDOUJI

Tomoyo's mother is the wealthy president of Daidouji Toy Company, a former athlete and Nadeshiko's cousin. Sonomi loved Nadeshiko deeply and never quite forgave Fujitaka for marrying her, especially because Nadeshiko died so young. That old resentment makes her early meetings with Sakura's father bristle, but Sakura herself quickly disarms Sonomi by looking and behaving so much like the cousin she still misses. Her relationship with Tomoyo is affectionate, protective and occasionally hilarious once it becomes clear where Tomoyo inherited her ability to devote herself completely to one person.
