WANG WEI

An anime-original member of the Li household who serves as Syaoran and Meiling's guardian during their extended stay in Tomoeda. Wei is polite, patient and reassuringly competent, which makes him a useful contrast to the two intensely competitive children under his care. He knows about their magical responsibilities, trained them when they were younger and supports Syaoran without trying to run his life for him. By the Sakura Card arc, Wei also becomes one of the adults quietly giving Syaoran room to sort through feelings that no amount of Li-family magical training prepared him for.
