AL
Al is the artificial intelligence installed in the ARX-7 Arbalest, the advanced Arm Slave assigned to Sosuke after the machine enters Mithril service. At first Al behaves like what Sosuke expects from military software: analytical, literal and concerned with system performance. The problem is that the Arbalest's Lambda Driver does not respond like ordinary equipment, and Sosuke's frustration with the machine becomes frustration with the intelligence trying to help him operate it. Their conversations gradually give Al more personality than a standard cockpit computer should have. By the end of the first series, Sosuke is no longer simply issuing commands to a machine. He is learning that the Arbalest works best when pilot and system cooperate, and Al is beginning to sound increasingly like a partner capable of answering back.

The Breakdown
Gauron's forcefield overwhelmed Sousuke's initial strikes, pushing the Arbalest into critical thermal overload. Hearing Kaname's voice over the comms, Sousuke unlocked full Lambda synchronization, overloading Gauron's driver and obliterating the Venom in a blinding explosion.

Kaname linked neural frequencies with AL to guide Sousuke's emotional focus. Syncing his mind with the Arbalest, Sousuke activated the Lambda Driver for the first time, piercing Gauron's shield with a concentrated kinetic punch and destroying the Codarl.

Amalgam deployed the colossal 40-meter Plan-1055 Behemoth into downtown Tokyo to capture Kaname. Standard M9 57mm cannons and sniper rounds bounced harmlessly off the giant's Lambda Driver forcefield.
The Breakdown
Kaname identified the Behemoth's structural flaw over comms: its Lambda Driver was straining to hold up its massive weight. Sousuke charged the Arbalest's Monomolecular Cutter with full Lambda synchronization, slicing through the Behemoth's central power redline and causing the colossus to collapse under its own gravity.
