About Me

🐉🔥🐉🔥

Old-school webmaster. Old man. Internet fossil.

Nostalgic about anime, the old internet, karaoke, fansites, forums, weird little communities, and the days when people built websites because they wanted to build websites.

Then somebody figured out the attention economy.

Everything became feeds, engagement, clicks, retention, algorithms and metrics.

We gained a lot. I still think we lost something.

AnimeHistory.org is my attempt to build a little piece of it again.

Gallery milestone! We’ve finished the screencap archive: 866,217 captures across 50+ anime. 🎉 We also added a new sticker system for posts/comments. Hopefully it makes things a little more fun around here. 😊
