Kimishima dies helping Kazuma survive HOLY's crackdown. Kazuma does not process that loss by separating the people responsible from the organization, or the organization from Ryuho. He attacks.
What changed
Before Kimishima dies, Kazuma fights because nobody gets to own him. Afterward, he fights because somebody he loves is gone. Ryuho becomes the human face of a system Kazuma wants to hurt back, whether Ryuho personally caused Kimishima's death or not.
