RICK KILMER

Rick Kilmer is one of Second Earth's elite soldiers assigned to fight alongside the Sleeper Brigade even though he is not a Sleeper himself. Cocky, capable and very aware of both qualities, Rick approaches combat with the confidence of someone who has survived long enough to believe he belongs among the best pilots on the station. He is especially interested in strong women and openly flirts with Marlene, creating a very different dynamic from the guarded relationship she has with Yuji. Rick matters because he gives the brigade a baseline for what an exceptional ordinary soldier can do beside people whose B-cells are pushing them beyond normal limits. He is competitive without sharing Tony's emerging belief that the Sleepers are a superior form of humanity.
