Let's be entirely honest: an Alter power completely based around watermelons is exactly the kind of absurd, highly specific early 2000s anime logic we live for. Urizane is a laid-back, perpetually snacking HOLY member whose Alter allows him to manipulate watermelons into shields, bombs, or whatever else the plot demands. He is fantastic comedic relief, proving that not everyone with a mutation needs to be an angst-ridden weapon of mass destruction.

Why it matters
s-CRY-ed never requires an Alter to look cool in the same way twice. Kazuma gets a rocket fist. Ryuho gets a lethal ribbon monster. Urizane gets watermelons. The setting accepts all three with a completely straight face.
